Go CNC @ Sodwana Bay – Sibaya

By Sodwana Bay

Whoohoo – We finally got our CNC Machine up and running. It only took us a month to build up enough courage and energy to set it up… But now it is up and we are going full steam ahead!!! Don’t get me wrong we haven’t been sitting on our butts the whole time doing nothing, everyday we let the dogs take us on long walks through our proverbial “Backyard”(Basically the wide open spaces of Sibaya). But then we started to think a little different about our chores in the afternoons. Instead of just going on walks we could also start picking up sticks and pieces of wood to contribute to our CNC Projects! We have always dreamed of using local woods of Sodwana if we ever came to live here… and now we can. So our first project is to make small round discs (Medallions) – either as coasters or just something to hang up on your wall. So far we just doing practice rounds figuring out how best to “Beachify” our trinkets. We have found this amazing beautiful wood. Its hard, durable and best of all- NO SPLINTERS! Our Very first souvenir in Sibaya!

GO SODWANA BAY @ Sibaya – Sodwana Bay

By Sodwana Bay

Go Sodwana! “Our love of the ocean just grew so much that with time we could not silence the soft whispers… She kept calling – calling – CALLING.” Sodwana is a quaint little village located just outside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park on the north-eastern coastline of South Africa in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Loved for her rural rusticness Sodwana lures many tourists who enjoy her untouched beauty and timeless days on the beach. She has got many things to offer like Scuba Diving inside a protected marine area, Snorkeling in the rock pools & Fishing for that perfect Mahi-mahi with one of many fishing charters. You could also go view hippos and crocodile @ Sibaya Lake or visit one of the Nature Reserves close by. “She offers much but asks little…” No one plans on living an unhappy life – but most of us do! It’s just the way our society and our world work today. We have become slaves to the system. Work –Traffic – Eat – Sleep > REPEAT! So why are we doing this? We just got fed up with living a life without meaning – without a purpose… the burden of living in a busy city were starting to take its toll. Yes, we made money but weren’t real happy. This was of course a big step to take for us but we had too… In our soul we were drained by the senseless “coma” We need your help? Please follow us on our journey as we explore our new life living in Sodwana and explore surrounding areas – South Africa. Help Us? Besides reading articles and watching video’s you can support us by making a donation

Borders to Cross @ Sibaya – Sodwana Bay

https://www.gosodwanabay.co.za Joshua 1:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” For those who are familiar with Sodwana you’ll know that it is not a big town – if you can call it a town what so ever – maybe a quaint little rustic village?!? It’s real secluded and when I do talk to people about Sodwana most people will confuse it with Saldanha bay or they think it is in Mozambique… Yes it is strange… why do people not know about Sodwana – it is such an awesome place. As we recently relocated down to Sodwana Bay just a week ago – basically everything’s new to us. We still not sure if this is real or just a dream but I suppose it will take some time getting used to. We’ve been dreaming and talking about moving down for so long and now we are here – Not that we haven’t been here before – we’ve been coming to Sodwana for a while now and fell deeply in love with the rural rusticness of SODWANA’S BEAUTY. The opportunity came along for us to make the leap of faith – so, we packed our belongings – 7 Chickens – 2 Dogs and a cat – got in our car and took on the road to our new LIFE! If I am honest at all – I would say that this was one of the scariest things I ever done… I am real blessed to have an awesomely beautiful wife which also took this jump with me – she is such a STAR!!! What would I be without her…? So we have fears to overcome and be brave! We also have a YouTube Channel GO SODWANA which we will load our content onto – please subscribe and like as this will help us make this dream even a better one. #sodwana #scuba diving #sibaya #rustic #relocate #gosodwana

Heard His Still, Small Voice?

By Sodwana Bay

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it”—Isaiah 30:21 Still, small voice—the words come from the First Book of Kings. The Prophet Elijah emerged from a cave on the mountain called Horeb: “ . . a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire . . .” (1 Kings 19:11-12). After the fire, Elijah heard a “still, small voice.” God’s voice. God taught Elijah something that day. He taught us. He demonstrated, in dramatic manner, a preferred method of communication. So, what is the “still, small voice”? Well, it’s more about our thoughts than about an audible voice. So, thoughts . . . they can be crystallized in many ways: in words—sort of an inner voice—or perhaps as pictures, feelings, or impulses. Originating them in the mind of another is neither complicated, nor difficult. We do it every day. Engaging in conversation with someone, we direct their thinking and they ours. There are limits, of course. We need some combination of physical media—ink on paper, pixels on screens, ones and zeros flowing over wires, vibrations of vocal cords, waves of electromagnetic radiation. Does God need physical media to originate thoughts in our minds? No, of course not. If we follow the King, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is there already—he dwells within us (Romans 8:9-11). Okay, so what do we do? Could’ve God already been at work in your mind, originating thoughts? I’ll bet. Could it be that you didn’t notice, didn’t recognize it? Begin today, brother, to sift. Begin to note which thoughts are likely yours alone, which were clearly originated by others . . . and which just might’ve been originated by God.
