Isaiah 40:31 MSG

By Sodwana Bay

Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “GOD has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? GOD doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind. Isaiah 40:31 MSG

John 15:7 MSG

By Sodwana Bay

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples. John 15:7 MSG

Asking For Help Stinks!

By Sodwana Bay

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble—James 4:6 So, carrying burdens is something for which we are built . . . and something which we are supposed to do, as men. God designed us, built us, intends us—to lend our strength to others, to those who need it. “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). The problem is, most of us read Scripture one way only: that we are to carry burdens for others. Few read it the other way: that we must allow others to carry our burdens too. We don’t really like that reading. That reading causes our pride to rise up. Like it or not, though, any one of us can carry only so much. Sure, we can “gut it out” with burdens that are too heavy . . . for a while, at least. Before long, however, they begin to grind us down. Anger, anxiety, burnout, depression and despondency, isolation and loneliness, or rebellion and sin emerge . . . simply because we’re neither designed, nor built, nor intended to carry our burdens alone. “One’s pride will bring him low” (Proverbs 29:23). Okay, so what do we do? Is there something you’re carrying that’s feeling too heavy? The burden of being a provider? Fears about finances . . . about work? The burden of children living up to expectations, in school, in athletics? A hidden sin? A hidden addiction? Another burden, perhaps? If so, look around for that person with whom God intends you to share it . . . your friend, your wife. Go to them today. Die to pride. Let them in. Explain the situation and let them respond. Fulfilling the law of Christ also means that we must, sometimes, surrender our pride, surrender the images we have of ourselves, get over ourselves, and ask for help. We are meant to live free and fast and light . . . and together.

Activities – Horse Riding @ Sibaya – Sodwana Bay

By Sodwana Bay

What animal lover does not love Horse Riding, especially on the beach or take a game ride? How romantic wont that be to ride on a horse along the shore side or through a magical forest. Of course this is something both partners will have to be  in consensus with. Although this particular activity is not widely proclaimed like other sports such as Scuba Diving and Snorkeling there are a hand full of small businesses that do offer game and beach tours via Horse Back riding. Although we only recently found out about this activity – so have not tried it out ourselves yet. It sounds like it could be a wonderful experience. Research says that some of these businesses who offer these tours will pair you up with a horse according to what experience you have in Horse Back riding. Meaning if you never road a horse before they will most likely pair you up with a very gentle and possibly slower horse. While more experienced riders will be able to ride not such  gentle horses or more experienced “Spunky” horses. We will  give an update on what our experiences were like once we try this activity ourselves. Check out the iSimangaliso Wetland Park for more information. Have you tried this activity? Send us an email with the company you chose and what your experience was like, maybe add a photo or video and we might just add it to our website and you could even appear  on our youtube channel.  info@sodwanabayinformation.co.za

Activity – Snorkeling @ Sibaya – Sodwana Bay

By Sodwana Bay

Experience the great reefs in Sodwana Bay. We have had first hand experience in snorkeling on the rocky reefs of Sodwana Bay. Although on first glimpse of swimming around in rock pools it will seem as if there are absolutely no fish in the water. This is not true,  although the water is a beautiful deep dark blue on the surface on a calm weathered day you will find that the water is quite clear underneath the surface, with plenty of fish, some fish are more common than others , but rest assured when swimming under the water you will think you are been transported to another world. If you are lucky you might catch a few eels hiding in rock crevices or coral, or even small manta rays, 0r like us we were lucky enough to find a rare spotting of a Marbled Electric Ray (Check out the Video below:) This was by far my favorite siting of all the times we have been to Sodwana Bay. But beware of getting to close to it, they can pack a nasty electrical punch if feeling threatened. Although we didn’t know this the moment we saw it. Well apparently it didn’t feel too threatened by us, cause it didn’t try attacking us. If you have any exotic or rare videos you would like to share send us an email with a link and description and your video could be uploaded on our Website.
