Trust and wait!
Psalms 46:10 AMP
“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”
“You are God, and I’m not.”
Q: What is our duty in times of trials?
All you have to do is trust and wait! If you trust someone, you will not panic when there’re late or have not delivered on a promise. It is not easy waiting for “rescue,” regardless if it is critical or fickle; it’s all the same to us—you have to wait!
It’s always easier said than done, but you have certainly heard and experienced how God operates. To many of us, it seems that He is late or has forgotten about us, but that is not the truth. God reveals himself and his power to those who wait! He arrives at the moment we truly need Him.
Let me put it this way: God’s ways are way above ours, and why He does things this way is a mystery. I don’t always understand that while I’m going through trials, it is only on completion of my trial/test that the truth is revealed.
God does not expect us to understand his ways but instead asks us to understand that He is God. Once you understand this, you can change your approach from panic to praise! Even though the tide has not shifted, you can trust and praise God: for when He does move, everything changes!
It is not our right to know our path and God’s plan for our lives; it’s our duty to fully take possession of God’s promises by trusting and waiting for His right time and place. The truth of why will be revealed at our destination.
Let’s Pray:
Father, forgive me for the times I forgot that you are God and I’m not. I serve you because you are the only true GOD, not what I can gain from you! I bow down to your will and timing. Let your will be done.
In Jesus’ name. Amen!
