Good afternoon everyone,

In the last 24 hours we have managed to get onto the major TV and radio stations of Mozambique.

Thank you to those of you who have taken on the task of insuring your local communities have passed on the information to the rural communities around them.

There are some very, very special humans in the world that have taken on Matambu’s case in professional and private capacities, and are quite literally doing everything in their power to find Matambu and track down Ferdie.

We have spoken to Ferdie’s family and parents, and they are also broken. They equally cannot believe what is happening. They are so incredibly sorry for what we are going through. He has apparently always been troubled, but they would never have expected a cross country man hunt for their only child. As a parent, I can only imagine the agony this family is also going through, and hardships they are having to deal with in their own community and social groups. We have told them we harbour no anger or resentment to them. We are all held accountable for our own actions and it is not a reflection on any of them, and we are sorry for their own loss they are struggling through. No one wins in a situation like this. Both families are forever changed.

Although there is some other information the authorities have, we are waiting for verification before sharing.
