Thank you once again for all the support and love surrounding our dear Matambu.
We want to clear up a few inaccurate stories going around social networks and some media outlets.
- Sadly Matambu has not been found. The family and authorities would be the first to send out an update. Anything else at this point is pure speculation and bad journalism.
- The person of interest has also unfortunately not been found or arrested. Once again, these are untrue statements going around.
Can we ask that people check the WhatsApp groups first before resharing any comments, posts or voice notes, as we promise – we will send out an update to everyone as a priority. The whole of SA and Mozambique are hoping and praying for answers. Every false statement just gets our hopes up and gets in the way of the real investigation.
Thank you for everything once again. We encourage the public to continue sending any information to us, as the leads and potential breakthroughs we have had, have only been due to the tips that keep coming in.
