“Deeper walk with the Spirit”

2 Chronicles 7:14

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

And

Leviticus 20:26 AMP
[26] You are to be holy to Me; for I the Lord am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples (nations) to be Mine.

“Deeper walk with the Spirit”

Even in ancient times, God had to continually remind, apprehend, warn, and timeout His people because of their ignorance of His power and beauty. Now, in modern times, we do just the same. We live double lives; we think that going to church makes us Holy and better than others. How wrong are we?

Our God is holy, and in that instance where He, the maker of heaven and earth, is sitting on the throne, He is blameless and beautiful beyond measure. I doubt that anybody alive has seen such pure, magnificent splendour.

The crux is this: God’s burden on our souls is light and leads to eternal life. I personally think we have to “re-search” and “re-evaluate” our understanding of God’s story. We are so blind to Him, although we say we serve Him “blindly.”

The misconception is that when you surrender your life to God, you are not a sinner anymore. The modern church has spewed these twisted lies as the norm, and we are still and will still sin till the day we die. God understood our condition and made a plan—He sent his Son as ransom.

So, if we are truly free, why can’t we live Holy Lives? What in your life is keeping you from having such a deep connection with the living God? What should you do to correct this?

Let’s Pray:

Father, I fall short of comprehending your greatness, and I truly want to see you in all your GLORY. Help me to lay down those things that are holding me back and keeping me in sin.

Holy Spirit, I am so sorry that you have to stay in my sesspool of a heart. I am a mess! How can you still want to live in me and through me if all of me is a contradiction? I have grieved you; I am sorry!

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
