UTTERMOST SALVATION

By Sodwana Bay

UTTERMOST SALVATION “He is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” — Heb 7:25. THE ATTRACTION of the Divine Nature. We draw near because we are drawn. As the sun is ever exerting a drawing power on each planet and each particle of stardust in the solar system, so God is ever attracting us to Himself. To all eternity we shall be ever drawing nearer to Him, though there will be ever an infinite distance to traverse. When Jesus was lifted up on the Source: South African LINKUTTERMOST SALVATION

Matthew 7:8 MSG

By Sodwana Bay

“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better? Matthew 7:8 MSG Source: South African LINKMatthew 7:8 MSG

Wake up

By Sodwana Bay

Wake-up Call . . . faith apart from works is dead—James 2:26 Imagine yourself, for a moment, standing before our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. Imagine feeling, at first, a bit apprehensive. Imagine lifting your eyes to his. Imagine his face, when you meet his gaze. Imagine his strength, his goodness. Imagine the sound of his voice as he, like the master in his Parable of the Talents, speaks these words: “Well done, good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:14-30). How would that feel—from the one who sacrificed his life for yours—that he’s pleased with the life you’ve lived? Each of Source: South African LINKWake up

THINGS TO BE LEFT BEHIND

By Sodwana Bay

THINGS TO BE LEFT BEHIND “Lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus.” — Heb 12:1-2. LEAVE BEHIND your past sins. They have been many and great, more than you can count. But if you have confessed and forsaken them, they have been put away, “as far as the east is from the west.’” Nothing could be more explicit than 1Jn 1:9. It is useless to brood over the past. God has buried it in the grave of Christ. Source: South African LINKTHINGS TO BE LEFT BEHIND

1 John 4:10 MSG – Love each other.

By Sodwana Bay

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and Source: South African LINK1 John 4:10 MSG – Love each other.
