A church that prays together stays together!

James 5:16

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

It’s a sad day when goodness lets evil run rampant.

When we don’t pray, nothing happens! Healing, or at least spiritual healing, never comes without prayer. The power of Christ’s followers is in how much they value prayer. Prayer equals Power!

When we open up our hearts to others and confess our sins—short falls—in life, we create an environment where anybody can come to get healing without being judged.

We need each other to stand strong in the battle of truth. God will work miracles in a church whose focus is on God and not arrogant pride. We all fall short of God’s glory—no one is without blame. Prayer is such a strong part and parcel of becoming a Christian; you can’t grow and come closer to God if you do not have a healthy prayer life—if the church doesn’t have a strong prayer life.

Yes, our churches are FULL of gossipers and judgmental members, but this should not deter us from adopting this practice. It is the spiritual leader’s duty to eradicate behaviour like this, so that people can get healing. If the church is spiritually sick, it may be time to replace the leadership.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we, as the church have put things of this world before You. We have been blindly led away from You. Please, forgive us!

Do not look away or forget us! Please heal our churches and remind us of the fundamentals of our faith. Raise up leaders who will follow you blindly into rain and storms. I CALL LIFE over your church! I call new growth!

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
