We are now searching for a Skipper for our client with a Beautiful Camp set on the shores of the Indian ocean in the KZN area. Please note that this is a full live in position. The core purpose of this position is to host the
guest and manage all aspects of their Ocean activities.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications as a
minimum:
SAMSA commercial qualifications with diving endorsement (converting is also acceptable)
At least 5 years’ experience in skippering and experience preferably in an
ocean environment
Must hold a current PADI Instructor rating
Must have a driver’s license PDP will be an added advantage
Must be a South African citizen or have a current valid work permit for
South Africa
Must be guest oriented and previous experience in a five star hotel or lodge
environment will be an added advantage
Main Duties will entail, but not limited to the below:
Skippering scuba diving, snorkeling and other ocean experience trips for
guest
Promoting and selling all trips offered by the Lodge to guest
Basic boat maintenance and care
Assisting with guest services and care during ocean trips
Promoting and teaching Scuba Diving in accordance with PADI standards
Remuneration
9000.00 – 11000 per month based on experience with a commission paid for
launches
Full live in position, with accommodation, three meals a day, uniforms.
